The doctoral thesis is a systematic and intensive scientific work about investigating the scene of extortion cases by the Criminal Investigation on Social Order. The new contribution of the doctoral thesis consists of the following typical aspects:
          1. In theory: The thesis has initially set up the basic theoretical system about investigating the scene of extortion cases by the Criminal Investigation on Social Order such as definitions, features and classification of investigating the scene of extortion cases by the Criminal Investigation on Social Order. At the same time, the thesis has also pointed out the content, forces, measures, equipment, cooperative relation and guideline in investigating the scene of extortion cases;
          2. In practice: On the basis of theoretical system of investigating the scene of extortion cases, the thesis has succeeded in clarifying the situation and features relating to investigating the scene of extortion cases such as the situation of extortion and results of investigation; criminal features of extortion in the Southern provinces and cities. Moreover, the thesis has also given the objective, comprehensive and adequate assessment of the situation of investigating the scene of extortion cases in the Southern provinces and cities, pointed out the advantages and shortcomings with the aim of enhancing this activity in the Southern provinces and cities;
          On the basis of the theoretical background and results which were analyzed and assessed about the situation of investigating the scene of extortion cases as well as other scientific bases, the thesis forecasted the affecting factors as well as gave certain solutions making contributions to improving the effectiveness of investigating the scene of extortion cases in the Southern provinces and cities in the coming time.
